Past Heritage, Present Culture and Future Aspirations of Purfleet-on-Thames
Past, Present and Future? is an augmented reality (AR) art installation exploring the Past Heritage, Present Culture and Future Aspirations of Purfleet-on-Thames. The artworks have been co-curated with the local community, who established the themes for the work. They can be viewed through a smartphone in the real physical environment of High House Production Park.
The project has been supported by local emerging artist Samjhana Thapa. The installation celebrates the rich heritage and culture of the communities of Purfleet-on-Thames, inspired by the past heritage of the garrison military camp, victorian day trips and Beacon Hill lighthouse; present culture of Gurkha heritage; and the future aspirations of the community vision.

Community Vision
This artwork has been inspired by the future aspirations of the Purfleet-on-Thames community. It was a vision for the future that brings everyone together as equals, with a shared purpose and belief. It was for everyone to have a sense of belonging and a role to play in shaping its future.
